- FT: Millwall 1-1 Bristol City
- Pereria gives visitors the lead (9)
- Smith equalises from a corner (51)
- Both sides denied penalties at the end of the game
The Robins took the lead after just nine minutes. Millwall did not react quick enough to a short corner routine that fell to Pereria who calmly slotted past the helpless Bartosz Bialkowski.
The opening 20 minutes were dominated by the visitors but they failed to test Bialkowski again during the 90 minutes.
Millwall improved after that and begun creating their own chances. A cross from Jed Wallace was just missed by Matt Smith. The Lions were unable to find an equaliser before the break.
However, it didn’t take long in the second half to find that equalising goal. A corner from Connor Mahoney was chested down by Tomas Kalas before Smith bundled it over the line to restore parity.
After that Millwall created chances but failed to really test City keeper Maenpaa. Jake Cooper was lucky not to give away a penalty as we approached stoppage time as the ball appeared to strike his hand. At the other end, Jayson Molumby wanted a penalty when Nagy brought him down but nothing was given.
The result leaves Millwall five points adrift of the play-offs with ten games to go.
