Lions confirm deal for Scott Malone
Millwall have confirmed a permeant deal for Scott Malone.
The 30 year-old joins from Derby County on a free transfer and signs a long term deal with the club. Gary Rowett had indicated in recent weeks that this deal was fairly close and there is no surprise that this is the first confirmed incoming of the summer.
Malone played a key part in Millwall’s season, coming second only to Jed Wallace in the goal scoring charts, including two separate contenders for goal of the season, firstly against Sheffield Wednesday and secondly against Preston North End. The former winning the fans’ goal of the season poll.
This will be a third spell at the club for Malone who left the club for Cardiff City in January 2014.
