Update emerges on when Ben Garner will be confirmed as next Charlton Ahteltic boss
Charlton Athletic appear a step closer to confirming Ben Garner as their new manager.
The Addicks have been without a boss since Johnnie Jackson was informed his contract would not be extended beyond the end of the 2021/22 season. He has since been appointed the new manager of AFC Wimbledon.
However, it now appears there is movement, The South London Press reported on the 4th of June that Swindon Town manager Ben Garner had agreed to a two year deal with the Addicks, but confirmation on that deal is still awaited from both sides.
This morning (8th June), an update from ‘Total Sport Swindon’ journalist Ryan Walker confirmed that Garner will be unveiled as Charlton’s new boss in the next 48 hours.
The two clubs are still working on deals that Scott Marshall and Scott Lindsay join Garner in making the move from Swindon to SE7.
Garner led the League Two side to the play-off semi-finals last season, but they were beaten by eventual winners Port Vale.
